Salvando Corazones is dedicated to the fight against trafficking of children into the sex industry in Costa Rica. Through the operation of safe homes, child survivors of commercial sexual exploitation will receive education, rehabilitative services and the unconditional love and support needed to return to society as capable young adults.
Founded in 2010, Salvando Corazones is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization recognized in both Costa Rica and the United States. We are licensed to provide safe housing to child survivors of commercial sexual exploitation between the ages of eight and eighteen.
For all children to live freely through the eradication of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation
Update from Salvando Corazones:
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to ending human trafficking. With your support Salvando Corazones is and always will be dedicated to effectively fighting against child sex trafficking in Costa Rica. We are committed and working to provide the highest quality care to survivors – the quality of care that gives survivors the best chance to rebuild their lives.
It is with deep regret that we have severed all ties with, and support of, our founder, Maria Fejevary and Fundacíon Salvando Corazones, her Costa Rican foundation, effective October 15, 2013. We wish her well. It is our intention to continue the important mission of Salvando Corazones and to ensure ourselves, our friends and our supporters that our partnerships are strong and that our work meets the highest standards possible!
The Board of Directors, Salvando Corazones
