Salvando Corazones
“Saving Hearts”
Salvando Corazones (“Saving Hearts”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on providing programs and safe houses for young children enslaved in prostitution in Costa Rica.
Costa Rica was flagged in 2008 by INTERPOL, as the fastest rising capital of sex tourism per capita. Child prostitution is so rampant in Costa Rica that there are signs at the airport. Young defenseless children in Costa Rica deserve more. To escape, children need a safe place go.
In 2009, Salvando Corazones, formed to provide safe houses for these children and to help survivors of underage prostitution in Costa Rica overcome the trauma of abuse. Our mission is to build and manage a refuge for children to give them a chance for a healthy future. Through therapy, education, and life skills, Salvando Corazones’ program provides young children with the tools necessary to enter back into communities with confidence and knowledge.
